VOTE! ISD Revised School Bond

  In response to community feedback, the School Board voted December 12 to revise its November bond proposal to focus on the district’s most immediate needs. The updated bond measure totals $231.6 million, which is a 63% reduction from the November measure. The bond will focus on safety and security for all schools, and the expansion of Liberty High School and the building of a new high school - both are which are aimed to address overcrowding in our district. The new proposal will appear on the February 11 Special Election Ballot. Thanksgiving Food Drive! Date Change!

D ue to the extensive power outages from Tuesday’s storm and the closure of Issaquah School District facilities this past week, the Maywood PTSA will be rescheduling the collection and distribution for our annual Thanksgiving Drive to Monday, November 25th.  Donation drop off will be 4pm - 5:30pm and meal pick up will be from 5:30pm - 6pm.  If you have made special arrangements to receive your meal, those will still be honored, but will take place on Monday, November 25 as well.     If you'd like to help, please consider: Food Donations : Turkey dinner staples, i.e., turkey, aluminum foil/disposable roasting ... read full article

Focus On Advocacy Week

It is Washington State PTA Advocacy Week, and we need your voice to let legislators know what is important for kids. Each will only take a few minutes each day! Washington State is not meeting its “paramount duty to make ample provision for the education of all children residing within its borders” to fully fund basic education.
