Hello Briarwood Families! The School Carnival is fast approaching on Friday May 31st and we are looking for donations for the Cake Walk Segment.
To support last years successful cake walk, we are looking for donations of cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pies, brownies etc. These can be store bought or home made!
Each signup below represents a chance for a cakewalk participant to take home a prize, so thank you in advance to all of those that are willing and able to help make this another successful year!
This year we will also be holding a Cake Off competition for all those who donate in the following categories:
Most Imagination AKA Most Creative
Best Dressed AKA Prettiest
Out of This World AKA Most Show-stopping
The winner of each category will be awarded a sash during the Carnival (and to take home of course) to showcase their talents!

The Briarwood PTA Nominating Committee hereby places the following names into nomination:
For the office of President: Kelly Sanford
For the office of Vice President: Janessa Benson
For the office of Treasurer: Kim Given
For the office of Secretary: Chitra Iyer
The nominating committee has confirmed that all nominees have been a member of a PTA for at least 15* days prior to the election, and meet other requirements as stated in the WSPTA Uniform Bylaws. (*For councils, nominees shall have been a member of a local PTA in the council for at least 30 days preceding the election.)

A big thank you to all the Briarwood Students who participated in the Cultural Kaleidoscope Writing Contest. We had many talented entries, showcasing creativity, insight, and an appreciation for cultural diversity. We were impressed!
Our winners were all notified and had the opportunity to shop at our Scholastic Book Fair with their prizes ($25 Scholastic Dollars for 1st Place winners & $15 Scholastic Dollars for 2nd and 3rd Place winners). Additionally, award ribbons will be distributed to their classrooms this week!
